Insomnia Undone

I am not 100% sure if this is the cure all for insomnia ... but it's a start.

Three words: memory foam mattress.

It'll change your life. If you have a great bed, buy a topper. It is amazing.

If you still are miserable, I recommend a fan. I picked up a jumbo fan at the walmarts to get the air circulating and it's great. Plus the loud humming covers up downstair noises. Double bonus!

Here are a few other things I know to be true:
1. Warm milk really does help - even if it's chocolate milk.
2. Loud music forces your mind to stop thinking.
3. Opening a window is helpful ... unless it's snowing.
4. 350+ thread counts go a long way.
5. Sleeping alone can sometimes be the best thing for insomnia.

Nothing earth shattering today, but. there. you. have. it.

"5. Sleeping alone can sometimes be the best thing for insomnia."
5.(a)start by shedding that obnoxious vermin you once called your boyfriend.
5.(b)unfortunately for the vermin, he can no longer sleep for anything.....but hey!, a small price to pay for a happy, well rested momma!

  2. the trifecta...I love my memory foam, I haven't turned the fan off for one night in about 10 years and I am about to win an award in the sleeping alone olympics...

when my mind shuts down, the trifecta is always there to lull me into sleepy wonderland. like now...after a total of 5 hours of sleep in 2 nights..

    buenos noches!

  3. damn, karma, here i thought i was coming up with a revolutionary design for us. i should have known you had already discovered these glorious things.

  4. Carly. Do you have "see the national live again" written above your bed? I just noticed this like 7 weeks later at random at 525 in the morning...

  5. hehe. why yes, lauren, i do.
in fact, i have my entire bucket list written on my wall. all four things.

    read don quixote
go to LP field to watch Titans
    visit italy
    see The National live again

you can (literally) see why i was jealous of your ambitious list now. i just saw The National in San Diego so i can check that off. and i do own a copy of Don Quixote... i am getting closer!
